Voting on Final Draft CARICOM Standards for Coconut and Coconut Products
12 October 2026
We would like to draw your attention to the following.
The Suriname Standards Bureau (SSB) was recently asked by the CARICOM Regional Organisation for Standards and Quality (CROSQ) to cast our vote on the final drafts of the CARICOM Regional Standards:
- FDCRS 88: 202x - Voluntary Sustainability Standards (VSS) Coconut and coconut products
- FDCRCP 13: 202x – Coconut - Good Agricultural Practices (GAP)
As the Standards Bureau in Suriname, we would like to obtain your vote on these final draft standards. We therefore present copies of the aforementioned standards to you, as a stakeholder or key interested party, and request that you cast your vote and share your findings with us. The consolidated results of all findings will be forwarded to the CROSQ secretariat following full processing.
As you are aware, following final approval by the Council for Trade and Economic Development (COTED), these standards will be established regionally by CROSQ. Subsequently, it is expected that the SSB will adopt them as national standards. For this reason, we urge you to contribute to these standards by casting your vote, as this is the only way for us to ensure our voices are heard by CROSQ and to convey our views and positions.
You can cast your vote using the links to the online voting forms below:
- FDCRS 88: 202x - Voluntary Sustainability Standards (VSS) Coconut and coconut products
- FDCRCP 13: 202x – Coconut - Good Agricultural Practices (GAP)
We must receive your vote no later than Wednesday, 21 October 2026.
