Vacancy Conformity Assessment Officer (M/V)
The Suriname Standards Bureau is the National Institution responsible for the national quality infrastructure in Suriname. Furthermore, it serves as the local representative for the CARICOM Regional Organisation for Standards & Quality (CROSQ) and the International Organization for Standardization (ISO).
To strengthen our team, we are looking for a motivated Conformity Assessment Officer with an affinity for quality and conformity assessment. The Conformity Assessment Officer is responsible for examining the conformity of products and services in accordance with established conformity assessment and compliance procedures. Furthermore, the Conformity Assessment Officer ensures that the practices of institutions align with the established mandatory procedures.
What are some of your tasks and responsibilities?
- Developing procedures for the continuation of operations under the CAC Unit;
- Carrying out activities resulting from the Conformity Assessment & Compliance policy documents;
- Updating and maintaining the unit's databases;
- Assisting in the development and delivery of training programs and presentations in the field of Conformity Assessment & Compliance;
- Report monthly to the Head of Department together with the other CAC Officers;
- Participating in training courses and other knowledge-transfer activities;
- Carrying out the activities resulting from the implementation and maintenance of the organization's quality system (ISO 9001:2015);
- Execution of activities in the context of international commemorative days (such as World Quality Day);
- Assisting in the promotion of activities related to Conformity Assessment & Compliance, both within the SSB and externally;
- Compiling technical reports, manuals, and other related documents;

Who are we looking for?
We are looking for a candidate with at least a higher professional education (HBO) level of ability and a minimum of three years of relevant work experience. Knowledge of quality management systems is an advantage. In addition, you possess good computer skills.
